The Canning Community Computer Club (CCCC) has bought a new 3d Printer for members to use. Go to our Posts page to watch a video of a new Gripper being made by our printer.

The Canning Community Computer Club was established in 2019 for members of our community who wish to learn about and use a wide range of computer technology. The purpose of the club is to provide easy understanding of today’s technology for its members.

The club is a community-based, non-commercial organisation which provides a place where its members can:

  • Connect with the local community in the City of Canning.
  • Have social interaction with like-minded people of all ages.
  • Learn new skills in using different computer related technologies.
  • Develop a strong network of friendships amongst members through their interaction by helping each other.
  • The club provides an outlet for people who are interested in using computers, tablets, phones 3D Printers and CNC Machines.

Friday meetings will be held at the Herald Avenue Senior Citizens Centre until 12/07/24 after which we will be back to Rostrata Family Centre.

The club meets twice weekly, Tuesday 9:00am at the Herald Avenue Senior Citizens Centre in Herald Avenue Willetton and Friday at 1:00pm at the Rostrata Family Centre in Prendwick Way Willetton.

The Canning Community Computer Club 2024 Annual General Meeting will be held at 1:00pm on Friday 27th September 2024 in the Rostrata Family Centre. All committee positions will be declared vacant and members ae welcome to nominate for any position. A link to the 2023 AGM minutes is here.

The May lunch was held at RAAFA in Bullcreek. We had a great lunch including a visit from Dr “Jags” Krishnan MLA and Cr Ben Kunze from the Canning City Council to meet members and their partners.

Don setup the CCCC Stall where Lesley and he took on the sales role.

The club hosts monthly social events for members and their partners. These are, typically, either a lunch or a morning tea at a local club, café or restaurant on the last Tuesday of each month. Please see the Calendar for details of events.

The Club CNC and 3D Printer have been moved into our new workshop in the Herald Avenue Senior Citizens Centre. A big thank you goes to all the club members who helped to move our equipment. Please contact Ian if you want access to the equipment.

Club members are using the 3D Printers to produce many useful tools and fun presents. These are a great gift ideas for friends, family or someone who has difficulty in opening containers. Visit our Shop to see what is for sale.
